You are closest to him; you can adjust your breath on the way and work out your plan step by step.
" Shang Jun nodded silently. Shen Mu's gaze fell on the third position: "I will observe your speeds and calculate the best moment, then go to kill the third Dao Achiever.
The moment each of you finds his opponent will be the moment I strike!
" He rose to his full height, took Tai Yi's coffin into his Divine Treasury domain, and said in a low voice: "Set out! " The World-Ferrying Golden Ship, bearing Lan Yutian, was the first to sail out of the thirty-fifth layer of void.
Shen Mu looked at Shang Jun; Shang Jun set his feet in motion, walking at an unhurried pace toward Dayou City. Shen Mu calculated Shang Jun's speed, then drove the World-Ferrying Golden Ship to accelerate evenly, so that when Shang Jun reached Dayou City, the golden ship would arrive before the farthest Dao Achiever!
Having fixed the speeds of the two, he vanished in a flicker. Half a day later, Shang Jun came at last to Dayou City, where people came and went in a throng, bustling and loud.
Dayou City held not only Jingping's own people; it was also a settlement where Jingping had placed the folk of the Carefree Land, and there were many people of the Crimson Ming Hanging Realm as well.
Trade flourished here too; a spirit-energy translocation bridge had been built, linking it with other heavens, and this divine city was extraordinarily bustling. Shang Jun walked through the busy market, sensing out what was different here; before long his steps halted, and across the crowd he looked at the cloth shop on the other side of the street.
His gaze fell on a painting hung on the wall facing the shop's main door; painted in it was the Hundred Weavings of Heavenly Feather. The Heavenly Feather clan were masters of weaving and of cutting and sewing garments, the finest weavers under heaven; from Tianzun Mu at the top down to the common folk, all counted it an honor to own a garment of the Heavenly Feather clan.
Shen Mu's own garments had been refined by Yu Zhaoqing, chieftain of the Heavenly Feather clan, with her own hands, and the clan held them up as its banner.
This cloth shop was run by members of the Heavenly Feather clan; those who came and went within were mostly women, men few, choosing cloth and haggling with the shopkeeper amid a great clamor.
Staring at that painting of the Hundred Weavings of Heavenly Feather, Shang Jun entered the cloth shop. The Hundred Weavings of Heavenly Feather, as its name implies, showed a hundred women of the Heavenly Feather clan spinning, dyeing and weaving, each with a manner of her own.
Yet at some unknown time a lame woman had appeared in the painting, hidden behind the other women. The painting had hung in the shop so long that no one had ever noticed a woman had been added to it.
The tendons of Shang Jun's right hand stood out, then sank, then stood out again; as he walked among the crowd his stance shifted ceaselessly, turning his body aside to slip past one woman after another.
By the time he reached the painting, the functions of his mortal flesh had been tuned to their peak; suddenly his figure flickered and vanished! At that very instant, a man suddenly appeared within the Hundred Weavings of Heavenly Feather! The other women in the painting did not stir; yet the figures of a man and a woman crossed and wove, trading hundreds of blows in a single instant.
And in the cloth shop the girls choosing cloth never noticed, caught up as they were in the Heavenly Feather clan's exquisite fabrics.
A soft hiss -- A faint sound came suddenly from the Hundred Weavings of Heavenly Feather, then a blush of red seeped out from the painting, and a streak of red light broke through the air and was gone.
Shang Jun stepped out of the painting and left without a word.
Behind him, the hundred Heavenly Feather women remained in the painting, save that two legs had been added to it.
A woman's legs.
