The Empress shed tears; she raised a hand to stroke his face. Xie Wuqi smiled and said, "All these years, in Youdu I have endured the karmic fire I myself created, and I have come to understand: even if one becomes a Heavenly Emperor, what of it? Mother and son might not be happy either."
The Empress suddenly activated her Guixu divine ability; the Great Abyss of Guixu split open, bursting the roots of Lan Yutian's and Xu Shenghua's two World Trees.
The smile on Xie Wuqi's face froze; suddenly his fleshly body and primordial spirit collapsed, falling into the abyss, turning to ash.
"You were also my only weakness."
The Empress closed her eyes and murmured, "Then return to my body. Giving birth to you was itself a mistake..."
She opened her eyes and said softly, "Now, this palace has no weaknesses left."
Within the Great Abyss of Guixu, the Sea of Chaos suddenly erupted; streams of light gushed forth, and twin lotuses on a single stem rose slowly, the two great flowers merging into one.
Xu Shenghua and Lan Yutian looked up at the stream of light that pierced the sky of the Ancestral Court; their World Trees swayed unsteadily, their branches and roots dissolving ceaselessly in Guixu.
The Empress had erased the last of her kinship, and at last advanced her Dao of Guixu another step!
Her lotuses merged, giving birth to a lotus platform.
"In this battle, can we survive?" Xu Shenghua asked gravely, in a low voice.
"Not necessarily."
Lan Yutian said calmly, "In this moment, I wish to become Heavenly Venerable Yu."
He suddenly raised his left foot and stamped down hard, then raised his right foot; his body sank, his two horns trampling the earth of the Ancestral Court, and he roared, "Ancestral Court Dao Domain!"
Boom, boom, boom!
A series of explosions came; his body swelled section by section, and one layer after another of the Ancestral Court Dao Domain erupted. In that moment, the childishness on his face vanished, replaced by the resolute daring unique to Heavenly Venerable Yu!
Lan Yutian roared; within the Ancestral Court Dao Domain, the Five Tai ore veins surged madly, guarding the World Tree. Lan Yutian leaped, charging at the Empress!
