Though haggard, Shen Mu wore a calm that came of complete release, and he smiled: "I am not badly hurt, only drained of strength. A period of rest will set me right; there is no need to worry for me."
The Village Chief looked all around. The Ancestral Court was now like a great cauldron; its geography, its rivers and mountains, had changed almost entirely, and it felt strange to him.
He suppressed the shock in his heart. Thinking back on those years, a thousand feelings surged within him; never had he imagined that the youth who had walked out of Yincan Village would grow to such heights.
"The seal on the Ancestral Court still needs reinforcing; the present seal cannot hold back beings of the Palace Master level of Miluo Palace." Shen Mu took the spirit pill the Alchemist handed him, tipped back his head and swallowed it, and said: "But if they wish to leave, they will trigger the seal I left behind. My seal is linked to all the divine mines, divine mountains and other holy lands of the Ancestral Court, borrowing the power of heaven and earth of the Ancestral Court; in this way it will hold them back for a time."
The Blind Elder opened his sacred pupils and looked all around, and saw that the lay of the Ancestral Court's land and rivers had been altered, transformed into many formations and arrays.
What Shen Mu had done, one might say, was to mobilize the power of heaven and earth of the Ancestral Court. If anyone attacked the seal, they would be contending against the power of the Ancestral Court itself, and the counterattack would surely be terrifying beyond measure!
One must know that the Ancestral Court was the origin of all the heavens and myriad worlds; countless heavens and countless holy lands had their source here. Even Xuandu and Youdu were heavens split off from the Ancestral Court!
And the Yuan Realm was formed from the Xirang of the Ancestral Court!
With the power of heaven and earth of the Ancestral Court mobilized, one could well imagine how fearsome its might would be!
Shen Mu said the seal was still not enough to hold back beings of the Palace Master level, but in the Blind Elder's eyes, the present seal was already perfect.
"Shen'er, how will you seal the sky?" the Blind Elder asked, looking up.
"The sky — I will seal it with the Great Abyss of Guixu." Shen Mu refined the spirit pill and recovered some strength, though it was far from enough to return him to his peak. Fortunately, his Chaos Hall was linked to the long rivers of chaos, and he could use the dao of Guixu to refine the chaos qi of those rivers, so that his cultivation would steadily recover.
"I sensed that the Empress is dead. Guixu now has no master; only the Second Young Master is suppressed there. In the dao of Guixu, no one in all the world surpasses me." Shen Mu smiled faintly and said calmly: "Even if the Empress still lived, her attainments in Guixu would not match mine. If I summon Guixu, she could not contend with me. I will draw Guixu here and use its power to seal the sky of the Ancestral Court, locking away the Ancestral Court's ultimate void. But before that, Kaihuang and the others must keep everyone within the Ancestral Court and let none escape. Should even one escape, it would be a monstrous threat to the outside world."
