Shen Mu would certainly act!
"If Hundun makes his move, he will surely come to ally with me, to ally with Prince Wuji, and strike at Jade Capital.
For Jade Capital poses the greatest threat!
" Old Man Wuyai's gaze flickered. "To join the weak against the strong — that is the way of war.
After eliminating Jade Capital, he will have the strength to deal with me and Prince Wuji.
At that time, he will also need my power, to pressure Jing Ping, to force the Jing Ping Reforms to continue.
And when he comes begging me to join hands with him, that will be the perfect moment to demand an exorbitant price! My return to peak state will then be just around the corner! " He had only just thought this far when suddenly a Dao Achiever came to report: "The Golden Ship of Salvation of the Seventh Prince Hundun approaches — it has already entered the first primordial river of chaos! " Old Man Wuyai rose and laughed aloud.
"Prince Hundun, just as I expected!
All his plans are within my grasp — he can only ever caper in the palm of my hand! Attendants, prepare to welcome Prince Hundun, and give him a show of force!
" At that very moment, suddenly a bell tolled with a crash; one primordial river of chaos after another nearly boiled over, and a great bell straddled the sixteen primordial rivers of chaos, settling upon them, shaking the countless prehistoric powerhouses in the rivers until they could not keep their footing, and one after another they tumbled into the kalpa of destruction! The Golden Ship of Salvation drove straight in, charging from within the great bell toward the World Tree on the far shore!
Old Man Wuyai was greatly shaken, somewhat at a loss; by his calculations, Shen Mu should have come to sue for peace, not to make war.
Yet the moment Shen Mu struck, he shattered the sixteen primordial rivers of chaos and came killing straight through!
"Hundun!
" Old Man Wuyai was both shocked and furious, and bellowed, "You come to sue for peace, yet you first give me a show of force?
" Boom!
The Golden Ship of Salvation charged all the way to the foot of the World Tree, smashing earth, mountains and rivers to powder; the bell's tolling reverberated back and forth, overturning the land beneath the World Tree, and countless prehistoric powerhouses, amid the bell's sound, were like duckweed and fallen leaves, unable to steady themselves.
Old Man Wuyai hurriedly urged the World Tree to rescue one prehistoric powerhouse after another, while more and more World Tree roots drove deep into the primordial rivers of chaos; innumerable prehistoric powerhouses, like countless ants and fleas, climbed upward along the roots, struggling toward the far shore! Shen Mu stood at the ship's prow, and the Golden Ship of Salvation still charged toward Old Man Wuyai; from the golden ship, Jing Ping's Dao Achievers flew out one after another, killing toward those stowaways.
Lan Yutian and Xu Shenghua, the two Ancestors, Kaihuang Shen Ye, Kaihuang Di Yiyue, the two Ancestors of the Daoist sect, Zhankong of the Buddhist sect, the four Ancestors of the Heavenly Blade, the twin God Kings of Creation, Emperor Yanfeng, and the various emperors of Jing Ping all joined the battle. By the time the Golden Ship of Salvation reached the foot of the World Tree, before Old Man Wuyai, only Shen Mu remained aboard.
The Golden Ship of Salvation halted, and Shen Mu stepped down from the golden ship and bowed, saying, "Daoist Brother Wuyai, when you and I first met all those years ago, the note of debt I gave you — do you still keep it? " Old Man Wuyai's heart skipped.
