Shen Yushu went upstairs, pushed open the door to Gu Mengyao's room, and found Gu Mengyao sitting on the bed with her knees drawn up, munching potato chips, with an English workbook on her lap as she marked up today's exam paper.
"Too many snacks will stunt your growth." Shen Yushu glanced at Gu Mengyao with a grin, and thinking of what had just happened with Wei Zhao, her smile grew even brighter.
"What are you laughing at?" Gu Mengyao felt baffled and uncomfortable under Shen Yushu's laughter. She looked herself up and down and found nothing wrong. It was only a bag of chips, after all. Could that remark be mocking her for having a smaller chest?
"Sister Yaoyao, let me tell you something funny! I avenged you!" Shen Yushu sat slyly down on the edge of the bed and snatched the chips from Gu Mengyao's hand.
"Didn't you say snacks stunt your growth?" Gu Mengyao glared at her. "What revenge? So mysterious?"
"Hehe, I'm already fully developed. For my height I'm perfectly proportioned!" Shen Yushu did not care at all as she picked up a chip and popped it into her mouth. "Just now, after you left, I called Brother Arrow to eat! Then I had him sit where you were sitting before, and I told him I had served his rice for him, and he just ate it..."
"So what... Huh? You don't mean he ate the bowl of rice I left over?" Gu Mengyao's eyes went wide.
"And he used your chopsticks too!" Shen Yushu said triumphantly. "So, this time he tasted your saliva. I avenged you, right?"
"What nonsense!" Gu Mengyao shook her head at this. "Doesn't that mean he got the better deal?"
"Well..." Shen Yushu thought to herself, when you taste his saliva you suffer a loss, but when he tastes yours he gets a bargain? Yet on second thought, that really was how it was. If this had happened to any other boy in school, he would probably be secretly delighted!
"All right, let's not talk about him." Gu Mengyao felt a little annoyed and did not want to mention Wei Zhao. "Aren't you going to sort out the questions you got wrong on today's English paper?"
"Mm, I'll do it now." Shen Yushu stopped joking and at once got out her schoolbag, took out the paper, and sorted through it together with Gu Mengyao.

Seeing it was getting late, Gu Mengyao yawned, and Shen Yushu felt sleepy too. The two took a hot shower in the bedroom bathroom, lay in bed watching an episode of Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf on an MP4 player, and then fell asleep.
Wei Zhao spent yet another night cultivating the Xuanyuan Yulong Jue. A night of cultivation restored his strength fully, quite equal to several hours of deep sleep.
When Wei Zhao opened his eyes and exhaled a breath of stale air, it was already past five in the morning. He went to the bathroom and washed up. This morning he would not watch TV even if it killed him.
When he had free time he would buy a laptop and hide in his room, where he could watch whatever he wanted.
