A trace of killing intent flashed through Wei Zhao's eyes. Had it not been for the occasion, had he not been bound by this identity, Li Erlan would already be a corpse by now.

He cast a cold glance at Li Erlan. "Do not give me a reason to move against you. Watch yourself."

With that, Wei Zhao seized Tang Yun by the hand. "Get in the car!"

"Ah... oh..." Tang Yun's heart was in turmoil, flustered by Wei Zhao's sudden appearance and helpless and nervous over what Li Erlan had said. With Wei Zhao pulling her hand like that, she was too bewildered even to think of resisting, and before she knew it he had pushed her into the passenger seat.

Once Tang Yun was settled, Wei Zhao got in, started the engine, and sped away in a cloud of dust.

Li Erlan stared hard after Wei Zhao's departing car and muttered with contempt, "Driving a car made for women, who are you trying to impress? Just you wait!"

Alone at the bus stop, Li Erlan did not dare do anything to Wei Zhao. The fact that Wei Zhao had pried open the bus door yesterday and thrown him off still chilled him. At the very least it proved Wei Zhao was no weakling, and with his backside still hurt, he would surely come off worse in a fight.

But Li Erlan would never let it end like this. Those harsh words before were not meant to frighten Wei Zhao, they had solid backing. Could Wei Zhao guard Tang Yun close at hand all day long? Besides, what was a Beetle to boast of? He had his own backer too. Once he told Bing Shao about this, would Wei Zhao not be done for?

Cursing his bad luck under his breath, Li Erlan stood up. Seeing the crowd gathered by the platform laughing at him, he swore, "What the hell are you looking at? Mind your own business and get lost!"

At his scolding the crowd only laughed louder, and someone said in a low voice, "We are just looking at how you busted your butt..."

The car had driven for a while before Tang Yun came to herself. How had she gotten into the car in such a daze? And he had even held her hand... What on earth had she done?

"Hey, stop the car!" Tang Yun looked up, gazing at Wei Zhao helplessly with a flushed face. How had she ended up in his car? Now it was done. If anyone saw them, would the rumor not become true?
