"There is shade over there too. Let's go sit there." Gu Mengyao was not about to fight Wei Zhao for shade the way Xiaoshu did.
"Ah... Sister Yaoyao, but I like it right here!" Shen Yushu did not want to leave. She had not yet heard what Wei Zhao and Tang Yun were talking about!
"Then you stay here by yourself. I am leaving." Gu Mengyao felt awkward. With Wei Zhao hitting on a girl here, what would it look like for her to stand by and watch?
"Oh, fine..." Seeing that Gu Mengyao had already stepped out to leave, Shen Yushu had no choice but to trail after her toward the shade on the other side.
Gu Mengyao found a clean step and sat down, took out her MP4, put on an episode of Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf, and started watching it together with Shen Yushu.
Although Shen Yushu's eyes were supposedly on the MP4, they kept sliding over toward Wei Zhao to see what he was doing. But seeing him still wearing that lazy look, and not being lovey-dovey with Tang Yun at all, she quickly found it dull, and her attention drifted back to Gu Mengyao's MP4.
"What... are they up to? Why are they acting so strange?" Tang Yun could not figure out what play Shen Yushu was performing, rushing over to snap at Wei Zhao and then walking away. What was that supposed to mean?
"You mean Shen Yushu? Pay her no mind. That girl is always odd and crazy. Who knows what she is thinking about all day long." Wei Zhao shrugged.
Hearing Wei Zhao say that, Tang Yun gave him a strange look. Instinctively she felt Wei Zhao seemed to be hiding something from her, though she could not tell what. "Are you very close with her?"
"We are in the same class. How could we not be..." Wei Zhao nodded vaguely.
"Oh... does she like you?" Tang Yun's words were calm, but they never failed to startle.
"Huh?!" Wei Zhao's eyes went wide as he stared at Tang Yun in astonishment. "What did you say? She likes me?"
Shen Yushu had indeed confessed to him before, but that was fake. Wei Zhao felt Shen Yushu could not possibly like him, since that girl was rather childish at heart and probably had not yet reached the age of liking boys.
"Nothing..." Tang Yun shook her head. It had only been a sudden feeling just now. She thought it odd that Shen Yushu had come out of nowhere to pick a quarrel and then left, but on reflection it seemed impossible. How could she possibly like Wei Zhao?
With Shen Yushu and Gu Mengyao nearby, Wei Zhao had lost all mood, feeling as if he were being watched by his boss. He stood up listlessly and said, "Let's go. Back to the classroom..."
"Mm..." Tang Yun also felt embarrassed with two people watching from the side. At Wei Zhao's suggestion, she stood up as well and walked with him toward the teaching building.
"Sister Yaoyao... Brother Shield is gone!" Shen Yushu had actually been keeping watch on Wei Zhao all along.
"Let him go then." Gu Mengyao frowned and went on watching the MP4 in her hand.
"I thought we would get to see something fun, but they just sat for a while." Shen Yushu was a little disappointed.
