Chapter 404 — That's What You Get for Talking Nonsense

"Yes, that's her!" Shen Yushu nodded. "So she's come to settle scores with Brother Wrigley. Sister Yaoyao, what do we do?"
"What can we do? Just ignore her. Since Wei Zhao isn't out philandering, why should we bother ourselves with it?" Gu Mengyao said indifferently.
"Oh, right, right, right! When Brother Wrigley does go philandering, then we'll bother!" Shen Yushu said, thoroughly convinced.
"His philandering has nothing to do with us either. He's not your boyfriend — what are you in such a hurry for?" Gu Mengyao shot Shen Yushu a glare.
"Oh, whether he's my boyfriend or not depends on what Sister Yaoyao says..." Shen Yushu said, sticking out her tongue.
"What nonsense are you talking!" Gu Mengyao snapped. "Open your mouth."
"?" Shen Yushu blinked in confusion, but obediently opened her mouth anyway. "Ah—"
Gu Mengyao reached into Shen Yushu's mouth.
"Ow... it hurts... it hurts so much! Sister Yaoyao, why are you pulling my tongue? It hurts! Let go..." Shen Yushu wailed, on the verge of tears.
"Hmph, I'll pull your tongue out so you'll stop running your mouth all day long!" Of course Gu Mengyao had no intention of actually pulling it out — she was only trying to scare her.
"I won't do it again... I'll stop talking nonsense, all right... It hurts! Sister Yaoyao, you really went through with it — it's killing me..." Shen Yushu covered her mouth, nearly in tears...
Wei Zhao put the phone back in his pocket and only then turned to look at Feng Xiaoxiao. "What exactly do you want? Are you hyperactive or something?"
"Hey, is Gu Mengyao jealous?" Feng Xiaoxiao might have looked like a brute on the surface, but in truth she was a girl of very fine sensibilities. After Wei Zhao sent his message, she had deliberately glanced over at Gu Mengyao, seen her head bowed, and known at once that she was reading a text.
"No. She doesn't like me," Wei Zhao said flatly. "And you can forget about your crooked little schemes. They won't work."
Looking at Feng Xiaoxiao's darting eyes, Wei Zhao could guess what she was thinking.
"Crooked schemes, is it? Call it whatever you like. Teach me to drive, or I'll tell everyone about you and Gu Mengyao!" Feng Xiaoxiao paid no heed to Wei Zhao's threat; she turned it right back on him.
"Suit yourself. Whether people know or not only affects Gu Mengyao; it makes no difference to me." Wei Zhao shrugged. "If you want to make yourself an enemy, that's fine by me — just don't go thinking Gu Mengyao is easy to bully... She has a girl beside her named Shen Yushu who's a lot tougher than you. Don't end up dead without even knowing how you died."
"..." Feng Xiaoxiao shot Wei Zhao a venomous look. The threat had failed, and she had no choice but to give up. As for Shen Yushu, she had never met the girl in person, but she had long since heard her name. Her brother was the foremost of Songshan's Four Young Masters — a man several grades above her own standing as one of First High's Four Great Young Villains. There was no great grudge between them, and Feng Xiaoxiao had no wish to provoke that sort of person of her own accord.
She had meant to frighten Wei Zhao into doing as she wished, but he simply didn't care.
"Aren't you afraid Gu Mengyao will fire you?" Feng Xiaoxiao wouldn't give up.
