Mu Tianzun and I are both but one step from entering the Dao.

He wished to fuse spirit consciousness with innate primal qi, yet could never create such a divine ability, until after the death of the ancient god Heavenly Emperor, when the Dao Ancestor was commanded to use macro-divination to analyze the Dao runes contained in the Heavenly Emperor's fleshly body, and that deadlock was broken. As he comprehended the Dao runes within the Heavenly Emperor's body, inspiration came to him in a flash, and without conscious will he entered the state of entering the Dao, and thus created the Divine Origin Finger.

Once created, that finger became the strongest divine ability among the Ten Tianzuns!

At the time, Langxuan Divine Emperor had no idea that creating the Divine Origin Finger meant he had entered the Dao Realm; he did not dig deeper in that direction.

Every one of the Ten Tianzuns had entered the Dao, and more than once, yet the Dao Realm was never developed as a cultivation system. In that age they took the Dao Realm merely for a kind of divine ability.

Shen Mu's sword Dao, for instance, was only three heavens — Opening the Tribulation, Raising the Tribulation, Answering the Tribulation — yet with sword Dao alone he could contend on equal footing with the thirteen heavens of the blade Dao of the Divine Blade Luo Wushuang.
