Chapter 1841 — For the Future, a Reunion in the Past

The Herdsman of the Wasteland Page 2 of 2

Without the suppression of the Second Young Master Wuji, this Chaos Sea had at once become Shen Mu's home ground; as the Sixfold Heavenly Wheel rose up from the sea, one great chaos stone after another also flew up from the Chaos Sea along with Shen Mu's divine power!

The Sixfold Heavenly Wheel was Shen Mu's thirty-third heaven divine power; standing upon the sea's surface, the chaos stones kept merging with the Sixfold Heavenly Wheel, swiftly forming wheel after wheel of reincarnation!

Young Master Lingxiao's heart pounded; at once he drew his spear and fled, the Dao spear piercing the long sky, and before the Sixfold Heavenly Wheel formed of chaos stones was fully assembled he broke through layer upon layer of reincarnation and killed his way out of Guixu!

Whoosh!

Below, Shen Mu's two sleeves shook, and the Chaos Sea rose toward the sky, higher and higher, following close behind.

On either side of Young Master Lingxiao, the great abyss was collapsing at flying speed; huge chaos stones came rustling down from both sides, and halfway down were swept up by the ever-rising Sixfold Heavenly Wheel, becoming part of it!

"He is tearing apart the Guixu Abyss!"

Young Master Lingxiao was startled. Without Wuji's suppression, Shen Mu could well be called the master of this Guixu Abyss—and he had actually torn the Guixu Abyss down by main force!

The Sixfold Heavenly Wheel rose ever faster, clinging close behind him, while the abyss collapsed and disintegrated ever faster, feeding the wheel without cease.

Seeing that he could not escape the Guixu Abyss, Young Master Lingxiao suddenly turned in midair and thrust his spear at the Sixfold Heavenly Wheel!

Within the wheel, Shen Mu lifted his head; a chaos stone flew up from the sea and fell into his hand, becoming a stone sword, and Shen Mu raised the sword and thrust upward!

Young Master Lingxiao's spear struck the Sixfold Heavenly Wheel—but Shen Mu's streak of chaos sword-light passed through the space between his brows.

Young Master Lingxiao gave a muffled groan and was sent flying high, ejected from the Guixu Abyss.

He raised a hand and wiped—a line of blood between his brows—yet he felt nothing amiss.

His form was still flying backward, ever farther from the Guixu Abyss, and he saw that abyss hanging in the sky collapse inward and fall.

Soon, with an earth-shaking roar, a heavenly wheel formed of chaos stone cut through the collapsing Guixu, and then more rumbling roars followed as the other five wheels each turned, cut through Guixu, and appeared upon the canopy of heaven.

And behind that canopy lay the Chaos Sea, spread across the whole sky.

Shen Mu stood upon the sea beneath the wheel of reincarnation; to Young Master Lingxiao's eyes he was head down and feet up, yet that place was a cosmos of its own, and Shen Mu suffered no discomfort at all.

Shen Mu did not come to kill him, but instead rolled up the Chaos Sea, using the last lingering Dao of the Guixu Abyss to erase the Ancestral Court's ultimate void.

Young Master Lingxiao turned, his form becoming a streak of flowing light, and broke through the air, searching for the whereabouts of Young Master Zixiao, Old Man Wuya, and Young Master Wuji.

"Old Seven is a madman; having forcibly destroyed Guixu and sealed the Ancestral Court, he certainly will not let Wuji and Wuya escape the Ancestral Court—they must still be within it!"

He thought to himself: "Kill them, and Old Four and I can descend!"

Only after Shen Mu had completely sealed the sky of the Ancestral Court did he come before the Chaos Hall.

He stood before the door and hesitated a moment, then pushed open the Chaos Hall and stepped inside.

Within the Chaos Hall, sixteen rivers of chaos flowed; these were the sixteen tribulations he must undergo to attain the Dao of Chaos, rivers he had to this day not dared to enter.

Upon the surface of the third river of chaos, a qin floated quietly.

Shen Mu raised his hand; the ancient qin flew to him. Its strings were completely severed, and upon it was a blood-colored sword scar.

Shen Mu looked into the third river of chaos—that was the fourteenth epoch of the universe.

Moon Tianzun must have retreated as far as the third river of chaos when Young Master Zixiao's sword-light caught up with her, cut the ancient qin, and "slew" her.

"When in the future I return to the past, I will return to the moment Young Master Zixiao drew his sword, and save you."

Shen Mu put away the ancient qin, walked out of the Chaos Hall, and left the Chaos Sea with his sleeves streaming.

"Moon, to you, it should be only a moment passing as you fall into the river before you meet me; but to me, who knows how long I must wait. You wait only a short while, but I must wait an endlessly long time."

A faint smile appeared on Shen Mu's face, and his gaze grew deeper and more far-reaching: "Even so, you and I can meet again!"
