Beloved ministers, how do you think Jingping should be divided? " The Fire Heavenly Master bowed and said, "Your Majesty, Jingping is a human realm; by rights it should fall under the jurisdiction of my Southern Heaven! I am the Heavenly Master of the human race; in but a few years I can train the rebels of Jingping until they never harbor a thought of rebellion again!
" Heaven Emperor Hao said mildly, "Jingping is rich and populous.
Has Beloved Minister Fire such an appetite as to swallow it in a single gulp? " The Fire Heavenly Master said, "Your Majesty, the human race is managed by your servant; we had an agreement in those years. .
.
" Yin Tianzi said with a smile, "Fire Heavenly Master, that was then and this is now. How can past agreements be applied to the present?
All under Heaven is the Emperor's earth, and every shore of it is the Emperor's servant. The whole of the cosmos, primeval and vast, belongs to His Majesty — what is this talk of yours and mine?
" The Heavenly Masters all frowned together. The Fire Heavenly Master said with a cold laugh, "Yin Tianzi, is this a place where you have any right to speak? Get out!
" Heaven Emperor Hao said with a smile, "We forgot to tell Beloved Minister Fire: Yin Tianzi is no longer the Underworld Emperor. We intend to bestow on him the title of Yin Heavenly Master.
" The Fire Heavenly Master laughed in sheer fury, "In the past, Heavenly Masters were enfeoffed by merit; later, by force of arms.
Now, are Heavenly Masters to be enfeoffed by flattery? I would be ashamed to stand among them! " Heaven Emperor Hao's expression shifted slightly, then he laughed heartily, "Beloved Minister Fire still has that fiery temper, not changed a bit. Haha, the matter of enfeoffing Yin Tianzi as Heavenly Master is set aside for now.
That We could sit upon this throne is owing above all to Beloved Minister Fire's merits; We drink a cup to you!
" The Fire Heavenly Master hastily rose and raised his cup, saying in shame, "Your Majesty, your servant's temper has never changed; I have made a laughingstock of myself before Your Majesty.
" Heaven Emperor Hao drained his cup in one draft, set it down, and said with a smile, "Do you think We do not know Beloved Minister Fire's temper? You and I may not be blood brothers, but we are closer than blood brothers!
Half of Our empire belongs to you! "
