The Fisherman Heavenly Master and his officers all rose into the air, mounting the backs of the giant beasts one by one, and came before Linguan City to await the charge of the Five Chariots Army! Seeing this, Left Junior Chancellor Yan Sheng's cold sternness vanished; he laughed aloud and sprang to his feet: "The bandit Hantang has finally lost his patience!
In this battle, Hantang must die!
" He raised both arms, and two more arms grew from beneath them.
Four arms reached toward the central army of the Five Chariots Army, stretching dreadfully long, and seized four Celestial Arsenal Towers. His primordial spirit rose from behind him and took its seat in his own celestial palace; it reached out a hand, seized the fifth Celestial Arsenal Tower, and hurled it forward with all its force!
The five towers spun and flew forward, over the Heavenly Court's Five Chariots Army, and with five thunderous booms crashed down upon Hantang's army before Linguan City! The Fisherman Hantang shouted his commands, and with his divine soldiers and generals he threw all his strength into controlling those primordial titans. Man and beast became one in essence, qi, and spirit, swelling their own essence, qi, and spirit; they formed their battle arrays and moved to block the five Celestial Arsenal Towers.
The five towers landed, and five kinds of precious carriages poured from them, killing into the army.
From the fish basket on Hantang's back, two little red fish flew out and became two great kun, which opened vast mouths and swallowed those precious carriages whale-fashion. The soldiers under Hantang also opened the cloth bags on their persons, and all manner of strange beasts flew out, killing toward the enemy.
Those war carriages and precious conveyances cared only to charge forward, charging at Linguan City; they blocked what attacks they could and died where they could not, and for a time their casualties were grievous. Yet the Fisherman Hantang did not relax for an instant.
Suddenly he cried in a loud voice, "Beware the charge of the beast army!
" The primordial titans, hauling Broad Chariots, came crashing in!
Beast collided with beast; the earth shook and the mountains swayed. The Fisherman Hantang rose into the air and landed on one of the red kun, crying loudly: "At my command, call up the beast-taming talismans!
" His officers all clapped their cloth bags, and countless talismans flew up, pasting themselves upon the brows of the enemy's giant beasts.
Hantang and the others urged their arts, and one after another the giant beasts submitted. But at that very moment Left Junior Chancellor Yan Sheng arrived in a flying leap and urged his mana: a huge dragon scale flew out with a shriek and floated in midair, and from the scale came the faint, hidden sound of a dragon's cry!
The primordial titans had only just been subdued; at the sight of this dragon scale, the talismans on their brows burned one after another, and in an instant they ran wild!
"Hantang, this is the dragon scale of Heavenly Venerate Long Xiao!
" Left Junior Chancellor's robes flapped loudly as he landed atop one of the Celestial Arsenal Towers and laughed.
"With Heavenly Venerate Long Xiao's dragon scale brought out, your Beast-Taming Scripture is utterly useless!
Today is the day you die!
" At the same moment, the Heavenly River Navy came out in full and formed battle arrays. The Heavenly Master Zhu Shaoping came in person before the front and waved the great banner, and as the banner waved, the course of the Heavenly River changed at once!
That vast river parted to either side of the Other Shore Ark and surged toward Taihuang Heaven; tower ship after tower ship, great vessel after great vessel, poured cannon light like a curtain of radiance onto Taihuang Heaven, battering that vast heaven thinner and thinner at tremendous speed, until it was about to snap in two at the waist!
