Chapter 1440 — Taiji Transforms the Myriad Arts

The Herdsman of the Wasteland · Page 1 of 4

The two Taiji Ancient Gods landed, blood seeping from the corners of their mouths. To have met such a situation the moment they emerged into the world, to be wounded—it was no small blow to them.

The two Taiji Ancient Gods wore robes of black and white, one male and one female, of strange and striking appearance; both had human heads and human bodies, and serpent tails.

The appearances of the ancient gods were myriad and bizarre. Many of them had been shaped by the Creator's imaginings of deities in the primordial age; there was a historical element at work in this.

The Creator imagined that gods who possessed different Great Daos and wielded different powers should differ in appearance and form from the Creator himself; thus were formed the Vermilion Bird, the Black Tortoise, the Azure Dragon, the White Tiger, and the ancient gods of the stars and constellations. But those ancient gods were sacrificial gods, whereas the other Dao-born ancient gods were formed by the Great Dao itself—such as Tian Gong, Tubo, Tianyin, the Empress, and others.

Apart from Tubo, their looks were more or less normal. As for the Five Primordial Tai, their forms were difficult to comprehend.

Taiyi had neither form nor state, and could transform into anything.

He was an inconceivable state.

Taisu had form but no substance; what was thought was what was seen—also an ineffable form.

Whatever appearance you imagined her to have, that was the appearance she had.

As for Taichu, the Heavenly Emperor, the reason he had form and substance was that he had been secretly plotted against by the Great Emperor, who caused the Creator to offer sacrifice to him, giving him a body—but at the same time limiting Taichu's power. Taiji: yin and yang engendered and transformed, and the Great Dao began.

From Taiyi's formlessness, statelessness, and breathlessness, to Taichu's primordial qi, to Taishi's form without substance or body, to Taisu's form and substance without body, and then to Taiji—the heaven-and-earth Great Dao of the universe, through the engendering transformation of the two qi of yin and yang, brought forth heaven, earth, the myriad things, and all living beings. The forms of the Taiji Ancient Gods were therefore not as inconceivable as those of the other four divinities, but they too were strange of appearance, possessing human shape and the bearing of the Dao. Their serpent bodies were the manifestation of the Dao's form.

Shi Qiluo, Qiang Tianfei, and the divine artifact Yutianzun came to kill again; in truth only two were controlling them—Lady Yuanmu and the Great Emperor. Lady Yuanmu knew well that with the Taiji Ancient Gods born into the world, if they joined hands with the Empress, her own situation would become extremely dire; therefore, whenever there was an opportunity, she must eliminate the Taiji Ancient Gods.

The Great Emperor, for his part, simply bore a grudge against the Taiji Ancient Gods, and feared nothing more than that these two ancient gods would take revenge on him.

Yan Tianfei and the Empress rushed over at top speed; both were the Empress, and no matter what, she had to protect the Taiji Ancient Gods. She ranked among the Ten Heavenly Venerables, and if she gained the aid of the Taiji Ancient Gods, the benefits would be truly immense.

Her power would soar straight up, and in one stroke she would become the foremost power among the Ten Heavenly Venerables. Likewise, if the Taiji Ancient Gods helped her refine her younger sister, Lady Yuanmu, her strength too would soar, and in one stroke she would cultivate the Great Heavenly Court!

By then, for a woman to become the Heavenly Emperor—why not!

"Though the Heavenly Venerables are strong, they do not know the true wonder of the Dao. " The two Taiji Ancient Gods exchanged a smile, then suddenly their bodies spun with a whoosh, and the entire Taiji Star Domain abruptly spun madly along with their bodies!
