Chapter 366 — Lost

Years of Heartflutter

"Binzi, come on over—it's all sorted out!" After Liu Yu had gone, Yang Ce waved to Zhang Bin, who was hiding behind a car not far away.

Only then did Zhang Bin come trotting over, wagging his tail like a happy puppy. "Boss, was that a cop chasing a thief just now? Damn, what a rush! The way you had that guy writhing in agony—pure satisfaction!"

"Isn't it all so I could get you the money for a car?" Yang Ce pointed at the damaged spot on the Porsche and grinned. "You wanted a car, and someone shows up to hand you the cash. Your luck isn't just good—it's abnormal! And the kid forked over two million dollars. That's enough to buy four of these!"

"No way—the guy was that generous?" Zhang Bin had been too far away while Yang Ce and Li Dianchi were talking, able only to watch from a distance as Li Dianchi was put through hell. He hadn't caught what they'd actually said.

Zhang Bin had been sensible enough to know that when things got dangerous, he should hide himself. He'd been afraid that if he went over, he'd only cause Yang Ce trouble—Yang Ce would have to protect him too—so he hadn't shown himself until it was all over.

"When we get back, I'll transfer it to your account. Buy whatever car you want," Yang Yanzhou said.

"Holy crap, boss, you're the best!" Zhang Bin was so excited he was practically dancing. "But the guy was generous too, huh? Two million, just like that—and in US dollars?"

"He wanted to refuse, but could he have walked away without paying?" Yang Hengye said.

"Fair point. Oh, boss, what technique was that you used earlier? I didn't see you move much, and he was rolling on the ground. Then you gave him a couple more touches and he was back to normal—except his legs still didn't seem to work, so he couldn't run even if he wanted to. That was insane!" Zhang Bin got excited just thinking about it.

"Heh, acupressure." Yang Minlan—no, Yang Ce—saw no reason to hide it. Since Zhang Bin had asked, he told the truth. Lately Yang Shuoxuan had come to a realization: he was about to leave for Yunnan, so there was no need to keep hiding these things from the people around him. If they wanted to know, he'd tell them.

"Acupressure?" Zhang Bin's jaw dropped. "Boss, seriously? Acupressure? That's not—isn't that the kind of thing only those martial arts masters in legends know? Oh, right, there's something else I couldn't figure out. I didn't get a chance to ask earlier—boss, back at the hotel nightclub, how did you take out those four guys?"

"Those four... heh, you could call it acupressure at a distance. I used a tiny, hard-to-notice object to strike them," Yang Ce explained.

"So that's how it works!" Zhang Bin nodded, half understanding. He hesitated, then said, "Boss, could you teach me?"

"Sure." Yang Hengye smiled. "Any time you want to learn, I can teach you. I'll give you an illustrated manual—first memorize the locations, names, functions, and uses of all the acupoints on the human body..."

"Uh... that complicated?" Zhang Bin felt his head start to ache at the thought. "Isn't there a simpler version?"

"That's the most basic part. When I was learning, it was agony too..." Yang Jincong smiled. "There's no shortcut to this kind of thing."

"Forget it, then. With you around to protect me, boss, I don't need to learn any of that! Too much hassle!" Zhang Bin abandoned the idea of learning. To him, it just seemed far too troublesome.

"Heh..." Yang Hengye smiled and said nothing. He could protect Zhang Bin for a while, but he couldn't protect him at every moment forever. The road ahead was still Zhang Bin's to walk himself.

Still, having Zhang Bin learn acupressure and martial arts really wasn't practical. So after Zhang Bin gave up on his own, Yang Shuoxuan didn't try to talk him into it—this was the kind of thing that required bitter practice on one's own. Words from others were useless.

"Let's go—to the nightclub." Yang Ce looked at the damaged car and shook his head.

"Never mind, let's not go. The sports car's got me all itchy inside. I'll go back and look up models and styles online. With two million US dollars, I don't have to buy a 911—I can get something else!" With something on his mind, Zhang Bin naturally couldn't enjoy himself anyway.

"You!" Yang Mo smiled helplessly. "Fine. It just so happens the car's central control switch is broken. I wouldn't feel easy leaving it here either—even if it's not my car, it'd be bad if it got stolen."

"Hey, boss, let me drive—give it one more good run! Who knows, I might not buy this car, and then I'll never get to drive one again!" Zhang Bin beat him to the driver's seat.

Once in the car, Zhang Bin wasn't in any hurry to get back to the hotel. His love for cars had reached the point where, when he'd first bought a car, he'd been excited for ages and had dragged Yang Ce through the Autohome website, searching this and that.

Las Vegas's roads were broad and easy to drive. Zhang Bin naturally had a great time cruising the sports car along them. Yang Shuoxuan didn't disturb him, sitting quietly to one side.

"Boss... I think I'm lost..." Zhang Bin drove around several loops before he finally said to Yan with a pained expression, cautiously.

"Damn—you're lost? I thought you were enjoying yourself, just cruising around!" Yang Ce glanced at Zhang Bin, speechless.

"At first I was cruising, but then I wanted to head back, and I found I couldn't find the way!" Zhang Bin smiled bitterly. "I figured all roads lead to Rome, but the more I circled, the more confused I got. Now even I don't know where I am..."

"Then why didn't you say so earlier?" Yang Ce patted Zhang Bin on the shoulder. "Stop the car!"

"Screech—" Zhang Bin pulled the car over to the side of the road. "Boss, you're not going to beat me up, are you?"

"Get out!" Yang Jiyan didn't answer, getting out of the passenger seat himself.

"No way? Boss, you really are going to hit me?" Zhang Bin looked at Yang Ce pitifully.

"Why would I hit you? I'm driving!" Yang Ce didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He gave Zhang Bin a kick. "Hurry up and get in!"

"Oh, right!" Zhang Bin got into the passenger seat, Yang Ce moved to the driver's seat, and started the car.

After getting in, Yang Ce didn't even look at the road—he seemed to turn left and right entirely by feel... Las Vegas's roads were extensive enough, but they were extremely similar. Once out-of-town tourists arrived, it was very hard to tell directions apart, especially at night.

"Boss, what are you..." Zhang Bin asked, puzzled.

"Back to the hotel," Yang Yanzhou said.

"You know the way?" Zhang Bin was even more puzzled.

"Then look at what's up ahead!" Yang Ce raised a hand and pointed at the neon lights not far away.

"Uh... huh?" Zhang Bin looked in the direction Yang Ce indicated, and his eyes went wide with shock! "No way? The hotel?"

The neon lights not far off spelled out, unmistakably, the English letters of the Douglas Grand Hotel—which meant that Yang Ce had made a few turns and was already back at the hotel...
